Discriminator

A four-digit number Discord used to add to usernames before May 2023. Now deprecated.

A discriminator was the four-digit suffix Discord appended to usernames between 2015 and 2023. It allowed multiple users to share the same base username, distinguished as Username#1234. In May 2023 Discord migrated to a global lowercase username system and phased out discriminators. New accounts pick a unique global handle directly.
